Actually there are two problems. The first is the little link that connects the front bit of the 4ws sensor to the steering rack has broken. I've temporarily bodgied it back together until a new part arrives.
The main problem is that my steering wheel turns 1 1/4 turns to the left an nearly 2 turns to the right. I think the steering is centered properly as the rear wheels start turning at about 1 turn of the steering wheel in either direction. Obviously this means I get a lot more rear steering in one direction than the other. Maybe I'm losing travel in the front steering rack, or maybe its all setup wrong. I have the soarer bible but unfortunately can't read the japanese 4ws bits. Does anyone know how to do a full setup and rigging on the steering setup in a UZZ32.

Possibly related, possibly not. Occasionally, my power steering seems to not work very well when turning left.
It doesn't seem to matter if its hot or cold, though its generally at low revs and below 60 km/h. most often when parking or un-parking, but I've had it happen turning down a side street at 60k's.
It seems an occasional thing and only when turning left.

Ed, Jeff Harper put up a UZZ32 specific error code document a while ago. I could not find it in the search I did but your code could be in amongst that page.

leaving us in the lap/benevolence of jeff once more. perhaps we should start a soarer knighthood/peerage.. sir/lord :jeff, peter, peter, rob etc etc.. hmmm!! wouldnt go down well here in little ireland.. we dont have nor approve of class distinction here .. ones actions-ideals speak far more than "titles" in our humble emerald isle. not sure about ye aussies.ye are quite popular here in the land of saints and scholars.i suppose its because ye're similarly "uncouth" to the realm.. all jokes aside ... 4ws ?where do we go from here?

My car when I first got it told me the left rear wheel speed sensor was dead. Upon replacing it the car still said the same thing. So then I threw an accusing glance toward the abs/trc (32 specific) unit and replaced it. No more probs after that. The computer was crook and blaming everyone else.

Dan, I am not sure if this will help with your steering wheel turns as I am mechanically left handed, but have you thought of comparing your setup to the setup of another Active to see if there are any differences?
Might help, might not, but at least it won't cost anything.
