not that i dont want to mate but im a bit short of cash these days, just looking for a cheap temp solution. if you still have them once i get my tax return i'll get back to you

From what I recollect compressing springs takes the factory 'tuned' technical behavior of your springs totally out so they could be potentially dangerous and not ride properly effecting your stopping distances and what not...
Just buy proper fabricated Springs like Dave said - Not like $300 is much! If you cant afford it wait or don't bother touching the suspension.
