Hi,
I got a Soarer Uz32 which i recently had the active suspension replaced by refurbished struts. I was struggling alot with the 32 bounce as well as a fairly rough ride. The work cost me round abouts $5k but its a smooth ride now. I had Pedders in Cairns do the job for me as i didnt have the skill or the tools for this job.
However, now i have frequent squeeking/groaning sound from the front struts which wasn't there before. Sort of a compressed/pinched rubber bushing type of squeek.

Hi Matz,
I have just had the suspension of 32 rebuilt. I used Peter Taplin rebuilt Struts and Andrew Vlamos Bushes but my mechanic only put the front bushes ones in the rest were OK and properly bled the system. It is recommended that the system should be bled again after a few hundred klms. I am sure Peter said he put new bushes and struts in your car. So take it back. My car does not squeak and is perfectly balanced and under emergency braking a few days ago F'n amazed me with the stopping power and manoverability. Peter at Pedders in Cairns is well known for quality and reliability. His was the only place on the planet that could properly align an old falcon I had because they aligned it to the milage not to factory specifications. There is a normal whining squeaking sound for a short period after you stop the car. Anyway after I spent $4040 on the better than new rebuilt struts $1800 for bushes (most of which I didn't need and about $2000 for labour oils and $400 for extra rubber bits from Japan your $5k sounds cheap. I look forward to catching up one day soon.

Hey Michael,
I have been pleased with Peter at Pedders service. After fitting the new suspension, I had to take my car in to get a power steering leak fixed so the bushes could be greased. Grant at Pinks Powersteering noticed that some of the bolts holding the k-frame (what ever that is) could be tightened ... and by doing that, he fixed the squeek!!
I had expected to spend $700 on rebuilding the powersteering pump but instead he tightens a hose and the bolt in the k-drame ... and the car is great again... and he charged be for 1 hours labour. How good is that!!
There still is a louder squeek when you go over speed bumps which i suspect is to do with the bushes. Might get Peter at Pedders to grease the bushes anyway.
