So my TEMS struts are leaking oil, I think the track day I just did finished them off.

I'm looking at some Tein Super Street coilovers.

For $1400 I can get a set delivered without camber tops, for $1680 I can get them with.

Do I need the camber tops? I really only want the factory camber on the car. I go drag racing every now and then, and will continue doing track days every few months. Will being able to adjust the camber benefit me in any way?

I'm assuming I can purchase the camber tops separately later on if need be, but initially, should I bother?

They aren't camber tops, they are just spring hats effectively. Camber is only adjustable on the lower arms.

It's worth buying with the tops then they come preassembled effectively and you can sell your old setup complete.

Shop around before you make your shock decision. I would seriously look at the Bilstein/Eibach setup.

Matt.

what setup would that be?

I'm not interested in buying separate springs and shocks, I want coilovers.

why are they advertised as camber tops? I've seen coilovers in other cars that have knobs at the top to adjust camber.

what will I have to re use from my current setup if I cant get rid of it all?

I think they are called that because on most cars they do adjust camber but on double A arm suspensions like ours they do not.

You might find that you can't use the tops from your tems setup anyway as it's probably different from the standard setup which is needed.

There is little difference between a set of coilovers and a spring/shock setup as fitted to Soarers.

I have Tein CST's in my Soarer. If you want to learn about the bilstein setup do some searching here or on clublexus.com

I know this is a vague question but my front bilstein shocks are leaking. Am I better off getting a set of coilovers or should I rebuild these?

Depends what you want to acheive Sebastian.

The Bilsteins are a great shock and well worth getting them rebuilt or replaced.
