Hello All,

I got my steering rack reconditioned as it was leaking, it cost a small fortune as I brought the rack ends and tie rod ends to be replaced as it was knocking. Now to find out that the rack boots are small and doesn't seal the whole rack ends (Presume a universal boot was fitted). Is there an aftermarket rack end boots that is long enough for both drivers on the passenger side? or do I have to go genuine?

There is some being sold on ebay from the US, but i'm not certain if they're universal boots or not.

They also come with the rods i think. so you might have to speak to them about getting the boots seperately.

I ordered from Toyota the Tie Rod and Rack Ends which cost a fortune as apparently they could only be brought genuine.
