I was adjusting my coilovers the other day. I adjusted them so that they were the same on each side (from a reference point to the jam nut perch). One would think that when the wheels are re attached, the car would sit level on all sides. This was not the case for me - e.g. the rear left would sit higher than the rear right by 7mm or so. So then I had to readjust the right higher to get both rear wheels leveled.
I know that my coilovers are in need of reconditioning, but just wondering if this is normal or is it just the result of bad worn coilovers. I've got Tein HA's.

A) your car doesnt have perfect corner weights B) your springs may have sagged, thats the advantage of coilovers C) rebuilding them wont help for no one ever replaces springs during a rebuild as they dont change spring rate, they only sag

Sooooo.. what do you think I should do?
Should I go to a professional suspension shop and get them to set it up and adjust them properly?
I really don't want to rebuild my coilovers as it will cost me big dollars and I'm in no mood to spend. So the cheapest option would be the best for me. If I do have to get them replaced then I will do that at a later date not now.

Ken i had mine professionally set. The spring heights were different to counter the weight of the car at each corner and to give a level position. Heights varied by 15 mm or so from each side. Get it set professionally as changing the height also changes your wheel alignment.
So when its set you will need them to do a wheel alignment.
