Springs sag, but a lot is not expected. Measure the actual CWG, as in the photo. Your numbers can not be true so you were measuring the wrong thing.

KYB are the standard shock, i would bet $100 that the aftermarket KYBs are indeed actually OE shocks inside.
These are brilliant for a weekend car, or a daily. No need to get anything else. Fantastic for daily use.

Dave I believe this to be correct of there base standard OEM replacement shocks. KYB does have a range of shocks though and I believe there is the better than standard available to suit soarers.

I also agree with your statement being a fantastic daily shock and this is why I have suggested them as a cheap alternative.

They will not compared for track use to the top of the line shocks you have listed previously.

If I had a spring coil car I would personally be looking at Tein's or the supra shocks if I could find them with progressive rate springs.

Ajustable shocks are a myth in Australia

Possibly true. My Koni Sport are imported but I understood you could buy them here at the time (about three years ago).

Yes these are available, but all konis are only rebound adjustable and it even says it on their website, its mainly for "wear compensation"

They are quite dear, but are a fantastic shock for a street car. The Koni Mono tubes can be made to fit from the supra easily too.

Guys thank you to all that offered advise, much appreciated. I will be acting on it as soon as the funds become available.

Dave, on a side note, are you a dealer for shocks and/or springs? I saw you mention a special on the tein springs.

I want to start getting some prices for the king springs and those shocks so i know what i need to save!

Thanks again for all your help fellas

Yeah We can sell anything that your heart desires.

Most brands stocked in Australia are only 3 days away.

Springs Id only use King or Tein.
$300 and $400 a set respectively
Tein wont last long, only until fulcrum runs out basically

Dave,

What extra work is required to get the car as low as this but with the wheels camber as good as on this car...

I cant believe how low it is and how good the camber is....could be the big rims too though

You cant, not withing the realms of a decent car.

The front simply doenst have enough stroke. The tyres smash the upper wheel arch, so no ammount of shortening the struts help (ie any coilover that claims this)

options are as follows, none are cheap, and some uncomfortable)

Tub the front end-
Cons-illegal, costly, lots of modifications
Pros- near infinite stroke is then available
Costs $2k maybe

Ultra stiff spring rate
Cons- uncomfortable, not ideal for handling on the street
Pros- Can be made to handle, and still be semi streetable

Get active suspension
Cons- cost, would be cheaper to buy a new active soarer
Pros- flat handling, height control etc

Progressive bumpstops
Pros- cheap, easy to install.
Cons- Doesnt actually fix the bottoming out problem, only makes it less harsh so the car stays more stable when you do bottom out.

Basically, if you can put up with crashy suspension, you can lower your car till it rests on the bumpstops, but from all our R&D, your car handles like crap. You will lock the brakes up more too.

For the Rear end, there are many solutions we have. And some cheap too.
You can have INFINITE stroke in the rear, for about $400 or under.
Your roll center wont be ideal, but the car will still ride perfectly, comfy and non crashy.
If only the front was this easy.

Camber is subjective, if your after handling youll love the 2.5 static camber youll be getting that low, but most will want 1 degree for tyre wear etc. Then youll need some new upper derlin camber bushes, add $200 and 4 weeks down time
