Hi,

just inquiring if the diff ratio's on a Auto TT are different to a Manual TT .. And did they change the ratio on a certain year as well ??

Next question is does any one know what the ratio's are ??

Diff ratios are the same, gearbox ratios are obviously different.

From what I've read the V8s use 3.9 and TT use 4.1, should be designated by the number in your axle code. 02 = 4.1, 01 = 3.9

Also if the speedo signal is taken from the gearbox then changing the diff ratio won't affect your displayed km/revs. It'll only change your actual roadspeed/revs, like putting larger or smaller overall diameter wheels.

Just speculating but that could be caused by using manual speed signal into an auto cluster if the clusters are calibrated differently? The better fuel economy then could be because you're only doing like 95 when your speedo says 100 and he really is doing 100.

Anyway pretty sure mine sits around 2600 at 110ish (auto TT)
