Gents Overnight, my UZZ31 Air Bag / TEMS Suspension seems to have stopped sensing / working and the front of the vehicle is now too dumped to drive. To be more specific, the TEMS "on / off" switch in the boot sensors work fine as the warning message comes up on dash when switched to "off" position. Fuses in engine bay and kick panel (incl 15d) are fine. However, the "High/Normal" and "Sport/Luxury" switches on the shifter surround are not sensed on the dash when modes are changed? Car is undrivable as tyres cannot turn due to guards blocking most movement.

Could it be the Suspension Control Computer..... only saying that because i've got one for sale .
But seriously, did the airbags go down overnight, because that would indicate a leak somewhere. The electrical problems are a bit strange. Possibly, the suspension control system is not getting power, in which case, you should check your earth points, battery terminals, wiring etc.

Thanks David I have had the front left airbag replaced and upon inspection it proved to be leaking. All other airbags have been tested and are not leaking. However, I have just had the car towed home from the mechanics as they were unable to initialise the airbag system.Considering the system was bled in order to replace one of the airbags, the car is now totally dumped front and rear. Again, the TEMS "on / off" switch in the boot sensors work fine as the warning message comes up on dash when switched to "off" position. Fuses in engine bay and kick panel (incl 15d) are fine. However, the "High/Normal" and "Sport/Luxury" switches on the shifter surround are not sensed on the dash when modes are changed. I have been advised from an expert that the probable cause of this failure to initialise is the suspension control computer. To confirm, the "suspension control computer" is the "height controller" module located inside the rear quarter panel area, accesable from the inside of the vehicle by removing the rear seat?

In order to make this post helpful as an archive I feel it is important to confirm the symantics, mitigating confusion for the un-learned Soarer tinkerer:
The "Suspension control computer" is fitted as standard to the UZZ31, in order for the airbag suspension to function.
A "Height Control computer / unit" is an aftermarket unit that can be wired into the "Suspension control computer", in order to adjust the suspension settings beyond standard and without adjusting the height setting rods beneath the vehicle.
I removed the rear seat and rear left armrest panel, to expose the "Suspension control computer". I was shocked to see the sub standard wiring activities that had obviously taken place post factory, and found that an after market "Height control computer / unit" had been wired into the loom.
I cut the "Height control computer / unit" out of the loom, installed a replacement "Suspension control cumputer". When the car was started there was no response, presumably due to error messages being stuck in the ECU so I disconnected the battery terminals for 10 minutes TO CLEAR ERROR MESSAGES.
I reconnected the battery and started the car, the compressor initialised and each airbag inflated in order rear right, rear left, front left, front right.
The car height and left / right levels settled over night.
With the replacement "Suspension control cumputer" fitted, I decided to wire in the "Height Control computer / unit", assuming it was my "Suspension Control Computer" that prevented the system from initialising.
*******BIG MISTAKE*******
It was the "Height Control computer / unit" that fried my original "Suspension control computer", unfortunately I found this out when the replacement "Suspension Control Computer" fried upon re-connection of the "Height Control computer / unit" resulting in much lost time, effort and money and the vehicle's suspension returned to a non functional state.
The Culprit:
This is the "Height Control computer / unit" that is to blame for the death of two "Suspension control computers". I have since been advised that this unit is known to be volatile
I would strongly suggest anyone that reads this post, to check their "Suspension control computer" and if this "Height Control computer / unit" has been fitted as mine had, to pro-actively remove it.
