I have some understanding that the front ball joints
cannot be repaired, so if during a front bush overall, the ball joints are stuffed - what then ?

I have read some have tried different methods. Any information on what works etc

Thanks

You can get 2nd hand arms for about $250 if your lucky. Just remember to check the condition of the bushes and ball joint.

Hi all, long time!
My'98 (150,000kMs) is telling I need some new front lower control arms (ball joints). Has anyone done this on a late '97 onwards Soarer?
All I can find are these (

Hi Matt, the late 97 onwards are different (alloy) to the earlier ones. Are the Supra ones you bought alloy or steel?

Get new ones from the US about $700-800 for a pair delivered.

Just search on ebay.com for SC300 control arm

They are all the same. Unless you have a Uzz32, the one with the active suspension. So don't let the years throw you off.

Unless someone can correct me?

Even the JZA80 supra arms fit fine. Go to ToyoDIY and compare the part number, that will give you a definitive answer whether they are the same.

I put the cheap JZA80 arms on mine, they are forged steel so you can safely get the airbag sensor tab welded on if needs be and much cheaper then the alloy arms

The supra Front LCA's have a stiffer bushing compared to the JZZ30 Front CLA - other than that, they are the same.
