i have a set of tein coilovers o my soarer, that i was told was baught off a supra, i dont know for sure but i think the soarer is some what heavier than the supra,on the stiffest settings the front of the car is very soft especialy on speed bumps and aproaching them if i go overto fast it will touch my underneeth, i had to rais the car to help with this but it affect the handling also, what would be the correct springs to use, does anyone know?

Mate, a Jz80 Supra weighs about the same as the Jzz30 soarer . Kerb weight for a jz80 6 speed TT supra is 3450 pounds which = 1565kg's. The Kerb weight on my TT Jz30 is 1560kg's.

SO im doubting its the weight issue. I would be guessing its the Spring rating that may be too soft.

Your car was probably too low to start with.

360m CWG on the front is about where you want to be with the Tein's.

(Tein Recommend 360mm CWG for front and 340mm CWG for back)

i understand what u are saying but i am thinking that they may be going then cause they cause the front of the car to be riding too soft, its not my first car and its realy to soft.it sometimes fel lke its hitting the buffer ruber, like it bottoms out

Shocks are probably worn out then as well.

There is a noticable stiffness increase going from soft to hard, on full hard it rattles the car.

Matt.

That definately sound like it time to change your shocks, stiff settings are very hard, i have a set on my car, its too stiff to use that setting on normal road conditions.

it sounds very obvious the shocks are totally worn out, changing the little dial on top will do little to nothing...really,especially at speed bump speed, get some newies or get them rebuilt

Tein make about 8-10 DIFFERENT models of tein, tell us which one you have first. Also on ALL tein springs it will have the spring rate written on them, thats another start too.

But the MORE you lower the car, the less stiff it gets with its roll centers, it also makes you bottom out more.

So find out what model tein you have (also written on them) then come back

i will check to see which modle i have and the spring rate,as soon as i have daylight, but i doubt the car is too low cause i can stick my hand under the fender and based on how it drives i was even wondering if its too high, in fact it was about 3 inches lower back and front and i raised it cause the bumper would touch getting in and out of my yard, and the previous owner had a fiberglass bumper maid,it would break so often, till i lift it.

what it needs is a under carrage wash, and i will do that soon, they working on the road and there is just dust and dirt everywhere, and no i cant clean it cause the coil spring is over it, and i am not just making excuses, it looks like 1250, the # on the rear spring i cant see the others they must be turned inward.
