Hey guys,

Am grabbing two rear wheel bearings for my Soarer tomorrow:

Brand: Koyo
Part: DAC4380A

And was wondering if I am able to order the inner and outer races from Toyota or do they come with the bearing?

Have still yet to press out the existing bearings, so don't really know what the go is here with the races.

Reason for me asking is that the following URL does not show any inner or outer races listed...

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/noctiluca/Soarer/EXtoyota4/localf~1/download/extoyo~1/wwwelc~1.ru/toyota/full~134.htm

Yet the pic below which I grabbed from another thread in the forum, shows that there is an inner and outer race...?

A reply would be appreciated, as I want to confirm before purchasing the wheel bearings what the go is with the races.

If they are sourced from Toyota is there a part number?

Cheers,

Mate,

I did this last year. I have a new bearing sitting in the shed, but I'm out of the country so I cant check for you. I think I had to get the races sent up from Castle Hill Toyota.

If it helps, the JZA80 is the same bearing and hub. On one of the supra sites/forums there is a complete tutorial including all part numbers etc.

Toyota Aust should have a parts listing for the NA JZA80.

Not going to read through them for you- you can do that yourself, but I looked at both these and the workshop manual when I did mine. I just took it to a mechanic to get the bearing pressed in/out.

Ben, thanks for that site...a wealth of information...

I spoke to the bearing joint, and they confirmed that the bearing comes with the inner races...i'm gathering that the bearing purchased from Toyota supplied by Koyo would come with the inner races as well and thus why there is not a part number for them available. Will be picking up the bearings tomorrow, so will be able to confirm before payment...

Once again appreciate your assistance...

Does anyone know what the difference is with the following part numbers? I'm wondering what is meant by +_A and _3E...(They are for the rear wheel bearing oil seals).

90311-57001 SEAL, OIL (FOR REAR AXLE SHAFT LH) 01.05.1991- JZZ3#,UZZ3#;+_А

90311-63001 SEAL, OIL (FOR REAR AXLE SHAFT LH) 01.05.1991- JZZ3#,UZZ3#;_ЭЕ

Found the answer to my own question...

The difference between the two is the Inside Diameter of the seal, one is for the inner seal and the other the outer.

90311-57001 = 57mm
90311-63001 = 63mm

The local bearing joint only has one Koyo (DAC4380A)in stock, but says he has an NSK that is an identical bearing to the Koyo.

Is it wise to run different wheel bearings, any issues with doing so?

Reply would be appreciated as I want to change the bearings this weekend if all goes well.

very old thread revival :-)

but for those who want to know. ive used NSK bearings in a lot of different machinery and even hobby purposes. they have always been up to the task, so if you come across cheaper NSK bearings. there's no reason not to grab them :-)
