Does the rear suspension member give any physical support to the strength of the car when on car jacks with the rear raised. Reason being I am wanting to remove it to change the rear differential mounts, as mine have cracks in them, and want to ensure that removing it will cause no damage. I have car jacks located under the pinch welds along the side of the car.

That will be fine, no problems with removing the subframe.

Matt.

Dont put jacks under the pinch welds on your car, by pinch welds I assume you mean under the rocker panels where you put a scissor jack.

There are some stronger chassis rails a bit further in, a really good one is just behind the doors and in fornt of the rear wheel well.

There are some holes that you can feel under there too

Thanks for the info guys, been sick for the past few days, so have had things on hold...

Have chased up the bushes required for the rear suspension member and can get them all except for the following:

52205-24030 - CUSHION SUB-ASSY, BODY MOUNTING, LOWER

Does anyone know where I could find a replacement part for this bush?

Fabian, PM me, I have them here instock in an aftermarket urethane product made in Australian

They are listed here
http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/30604/287611.html?1243332656

Its not cheap though....
SPF3269K Rear Sub Frame Rear Bushing $226

We have a "pineapple kit" which does the same end result but with less cash outlay. Technically its not as good as your only supplementing the factory bush, but pineapples have proved themselves time after time.

Pineapples
SPF2553K Rear Cross-member Supplement Washers $26
(these complement the 52271D part, making them stiffer)
SPF2520K Rear Cross-member Supplement Washers $71
(these complement the 552205A part, making them stiffer)

Once again let me know if you need any help with these parts,I may be able to do a better deal on the SPF3269K part though.
