Hey all,

How do Toyota bushes compare with VFT bushes? Performance and price wise?

Does anyone have the part numbers for Toyota Bushes?
Doing a quick search found the part numbers for the LCA's

- 48654-24040 (Front lower bush) (Confirm?)
- 48655-24050 (Rear lower bush) (Confirm?)

Does anyone know the part numbers for the other types of bushes (UCA, Steering rack, Sway bar etc) as I want to get a quote from Toyota?

Any response appreciated.

Do not know about comparison because I went for a complete set of VFT bushes when I had to completely recon the 32's struts and it seemed stupid not to use the "Best" when I had just spent $6000 on parts and labour, so another $1800 for bushes inc 4WS (did not need changing)seemed like a bargain.
However those on here who are experienced and know - SAY THIS -"VFT bushes are the "Best" AND those who "Really Push" their cars like me SAY "they can really tell the difference" But if your casual city cruiser you'd never know unless you do several hundred thousand Km's and realise that they haven't been changed for a while.
Vlamos used better compounds and fit better.
Talk to Andrew Vlamos he is very approachable

I recently replaced my lower control arm bushes with genuine toyota bushes.
Very happy with the ride.
Mechanic was quite impressed with the quality of the large bushes.
I'm not sure what they retail for, I got mine off Muz some time ago.
I would have bought Vlamos bushes had i not got mine cheaply.

I agree with shane. Besides, total arm replacement is needed if your joints are worn out, otherwise VFT is great too.

What you get if you do a complete arm replacement = A new car feel.

Hope this helps.
