Hi guys, I've been wondering if you can get an engineer to certify that 9" wide rims are acceptable to be legally used on soarers once they've done their inspection on the car?

They are illegal? Wow, I have 10" rear and 9.5" fronts. Did not know they were illegal. I passed my inspection with them, though NSW may have tougher laws.

Sorry guys I meant to say 9.5 inch rims . That is, rims over the 2 inch width increase limit stated by the RTA, does an engineer have the power to override this limit and certify that a set of rims meet engineering standards after his inspection, and can therefore be deemed legal in NSW? I'm not holding my breath for a positive result, but if it is possible that would be good news ;).
