Have you selected matching tyre widths and profiles? I suggest you do that because it may influence your choice of rim. Also, the smaller the rim the better the ride of course.

the 2nd ones, whats the cost difference, and is this an issue for you, as by the sizes i'd assume there would be a big $$$ between the two.

money is not the issue and there is not really much of a difference in price if i go 18's im going 235/40f 265-35r the od is the same on both tyres i dont need to be able to rotate the tyres, i change rims before i need new tyres lol

I'd go the 18's - 19's are a pain on a daily driver (and don't suit the Soarer if you ask me), and you get a selection of good quality mid-priced tyres instead of just the top shelf very highly priced 19's. I know you say money is no object, but I can't help but take it in to consideration myself.

looks like it's going to be the 18's.... cos i was having silly thoughts of 275's on 19's.... and then well then theres not much difference and i should just stick with the 20's i already have... gettin them in a week or so, ill post up some pics when i cbf... now just gotta decide on offset... this is what im getting rid of and this is what i've got now, but after i get the 18's i wanna swap the TT's for a set of VGC factory 15's if anyone in melb has some note for the lowering Nazis, the suspension isnt a static drop, and the rear does go lower (nothing factory)

i still prefer the 19s. ive got 18s on mine, and they look terribly small compared to the huge wheel arch. 19s should be the largest you should go imo, and it should look the best, and will probably clear any sort of brake upgrade you will be doing in the future...doesnt your wheel alignment fk up by going that low?

usually i change cars too before i need tyres, but i think im going to hang on to the soarer, i like it... just as long as it dosent start pissing me off.. well it kinda was, then i drove a new VE commodore for a week and was relieved to get back into the soarer, a much better car.... thats just so wrong take that $1bn baby Holden box, could not believe how crap a brandnew 35k car can be

He must of air bagged it (after market I mean). Go the 19s mate, 18 just don't fill the guards enough and with the bags ride comfort should still be good. |

Matt, when it's aired out its much harder to get into than when its at max height.... and why did i do this, why the not... cos i could, same reason im doing to to my motorbike too, and the same reason i ride a vespa lowered 4" cos i want to

thats alright.... i have a problem.... a lowering problem.... my motorbike lowered 3" rear, my vespa 3-4" all round and the cars ive had low is never low enough, then they suck to drive... this way i can have a car i can use and something stupid low when i want the vespa has zero suspension movment and sits lower off the stand anyway back to the wheels... got conned into these.. i dont mind them, but the factory TT's have really grown on me... so they'll be on 90% of the time

I've seen the second ones on a soarer before and it wasn't too nice, so I'd go the first set if I had to choose from those.

tyre shop wanted to see it low for some snaps... doesn't have the proper offset or stretched tyres for the drift look, but there is no rubbing and it can be driven like a normal car, surprisingly it's much nicer to drive than with the 20's, i normally drive about 4 or so inches higher, as you go higher the wheels stick out more, at driving height the rear rims almost sit flush with the guards, and the front's are almost as far out
