hi there,

i was under my car today and noticed that on my diff is some wreckers pen writing that says "jza80 - supra"

now what i am asking is there any id marks/plates to figure out if it is an lsd or not.

as i have looked from underneath and cant see any, is there a visual difference in the fins or something?

p.s. i searched and know that i am looking for "A01B" but i cant see that stamped on it anywhere.

jza80 diff could be an open diff too, but i highly doubt it.

Easiest way to tell is to remove the back cover but it gets messy.

I was surprised when installing my LSD diff it actually had "B" stamped on it from factory. Not sure if that is a common thing or not but it would make things a lot easier to identify.

yeah i will be changing oil in it as i dont know when it was last done, ill take the back plate off.

where was this "b" stamped, as i cant see any casting marks on the underside or sides.

i know in a straight line the 4 times i have had wheel spin, 2 times its singled, and one single around a corner, im wanting max grip as wheel spin doesnt interest me, and wasting 275's is not cheap :-)
