| Nope they are smaller holes that the stud holes. I assume they are there for cosmetic reasons. Matt |

| Impul R5. Proper Jap rims not the Starcorp's. Not really suited to a Soarer but better then Nissan S15 rims. OK I suck at photos haha. http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj291/soulreaper88/24012009129.jpg |

| finally tracked down a set of rims, they aren't VS-KF's as i originally anticipated, however, these are (in my opinion) a nicer looking rim and suit the soarer really nice. they are... SSR, Strusse Agile Fronts, 18x8 +30 offset 225/40R18 Rears , 18x9 +30 offset 235/40R18

| i got the rims from an importer in brissie for $890 bucks, the tyres on the rims, and they are Bridgestone GIII potenza. So i can't really complain about the price. when i get new rubber on the back, i'll be going either 245 or 255's but 255's will require me to pump the rear guards a little. but a big improvement from what they were. they will look even better once i get my Auto Couture bodykit |

| Try running 245/40R18 and 265/35R18 which is the correct size for those rims. |

| When I see those stretched side walls I think the following The driver can't afford proper tires They think they are a drifter They have no idea about safety or how things were designed initially to work. They are just idiots that mess with cars - and should not. Gets a massive thumbs down from me.. Do you see new cars with tires fitted like this? No because it looks retarded and doesn't allow the tire to perform correctly. But hey, if some of you guys like that kind of thing, great, just don’t drive near me with a hazard like that!

"Correct performance" is pretty subjective when it comes to cars Mike. Horses for courses and all that. And since you mentioned drifters, there are some good reasons for running tyres like that when drifting. The cost of tyres can be pretty important when you go through 4 or 5 pairs in a day at the track. On top of that, undersized tyres really help to stop the sidewall movement that puts you off when your sideways, helps make things more stable. |

| look, for starters mike, i'll post responses to what you have said The driver can't afford proper tires - I purchased the wheels with the tyres on. i jumped at the price because the rims with the tyres were under $900. now if you can find SSR Strusse rims for that price, if at all let me know. They think they are a drifter. no i don't think i am a drifter. if i thought i was a drifter my car would be lowered massively, have psycho negative camber, crazy bodykit. etc. no i condone people who use the roads as a race/drift track. i have seen accidents happen when people aren't being stuipd. so no i value my life and my car They have no idea about safety or how things were designed initially to work. - safety is a big thing, yes, but from what i have found between my old rims and my new rims, my car on the new rims is much, much better compared to what it was, it handles better, i don't get as many jolts through the steering wheel and so on, and when i go around corners and roundabouts, the car rides more neutral with less sidewall flex. in my opinion the car is actually safer. and on the topic of offsets, there is no way on God's green earth woud +50 offset wheels fit and clear my callipers. my +40 rims, which were my old ones only cleared them. They are just idiots that mess with cars - and should not. so what you are saying to this is, anyone that changes their car in any way is an idiot. i am sure you have experienced your first or second car that you loved to modify, change and learn stuff about it. just because you have an opinion, don't make it a big generalisation, because i am sure you will offend more users of this forum other than myself. that's my 2c worth |

| I think the rims look good and a very good price. I am not a fan of stretched sidewalls for 2 main reasons, first is the rim is more prone to gutter rash. Second is the tyre is more likely to get punctures as the sidewall is more exposed to the road. I would put the rear tyres on the front rims and get some wider tread for the rear. |

| Hey Andrew Mate i personally love your rims, I recently bought a set of TSW's 17 x 8 almost exactly the same style as yours, im in the process of stripping back the paint and polishing the alloy. I say as long as you love them then thats all that matters. Cheers mate |
