I have pictures of the 17 inch supra wheels both in the silver and gloss black in my thread. They look similar to the 16s.

Depends on what car they came off I think. If you have 16x8's all around, they probably came off a N/A, if you have staggered 16's then they probably came off an early TT, and I think the 17's are all off later turbo models.

Unless the early TT's had different brakes, the 16's won't clear the TT brakes I have.

Earlier TTs had the same brake setup as JZZ30 TT soarers. Sometime around 95-96 they went to the "TRD" big brake 4/2 pot setup, which later just became known as the supra big brake kit.

As far as I know all the later model TT had the big brakes and the 17 inch wheels. In fact, some brake pad suppliers refer to the pads as fitting either the 16 or 17inch model.

I have only ever seen the 16x8/16x9.5 and 17x8/17x9.5 inch rims. This doesn't mean they don't exist.

Mine are 16x8's all around, and cam off a 1995 N/A, pretty much a pov pack model from the look of it (they had just replaced them with some 18's)

almost no point in going wider than 16x8, its hard to find 16" tyres wider than 245's

Plus Toyo do a really good 245/50R16 with loads of wet and dry grip at a very good price.
