front air struts finally seemed to have died or at least passenger side has - at nearly 300k km. funny thing is that sometimes its riding at stops and sometimes the compressor kicks in and pumps it to normal (although it falls moderately over a few hours with engine off). so opinions? i want a smooth ride and dont have much cash, do i get new struts or go with a coilover option? if coilover what is the best with a comfortable yet somewhat sporty ride, perhaps a bit lower than stock?

Ben, one option that I, and a few others I think, have gone with: JZA80 supra Bilstein struts with standard springs to suit. This setup will be lower than a stock ride height and a stiffer ride than airbags but obviously better handling and, with good tyres on, still a good ride quality. All up I paid around $1200 for parts.
Do a search if your interested, should be heaps of info on this.
