Im looking at buying some second hand work vs xx wheels in 17x8 17x9 114.4 x 5 offset is +47. at a very good price, im wondering if these will fit on the soarer, i think they are coming off an Aristo ?

What sort of stance will the + 47 offset give, and can i modify this stance using wheel spacers ? and what are the negatives involved in using wheel spacers ?

thanks.

This is what 17x9 +40 looks like on the rear. IMO it fills the guards out almost perfectly (for my tastes anyway).

So I guess +47 will be sunken in slightly more.

Matt, sounds like a close to perfect fit in terms of function, not sure what Ali means by 'sunken' but +38 is a worse fit (unless he is talking about some aesthetic of wheels bulging out the side of the car),

A +38 won't have the rim bulging out the side. It will be flush.

I have an 18x10 +38 with NO issues.

Matt.

Thanks for the replies guys anyone have any information regarding wheels spacers ? id like them to sit flush with the edge of the guards or as close to that as possible. im also more interested in aesthetics here.

wheel spacers are illegal in most of the states or maybe all of them. better off getting lower offset wheels, like +38. personally i wouldnt go lower than +35.

Spacers are evil.. Have had cars with them snap wheel nuts because of them. (yes they were large spacers with standard length Nissan studs in this case).

I would just spend the time looking till you find the right set of wheels in the right offset that will do what you are wanting them to do.

To give you an idea of offset on the rear, this is 18x10 +20 and they are a pair vs xx

They will sit 3mm further out than this.

They are pretty much perfect offset wise.
