Hey guys got a bit of a problem, bought some pedders low springs for my 96 vvti jzz30, now the front ones went in fine but the back ones are too big on the bottem and won't sit into the strut saddle, the part numbers match up fine, are there 2 different kind of struts? the car just has tems

Could it be the struts are wrong? From memory factory rear springs have little if any taper to them - though its a year or more since I had mine off - so I guess after market springs would be the same.

Yeah my standard springs kinda taper down but the pedders ones don't they are just standard TEMs (non air) struts so i don't see why it won't work ill get some pictures.

you reckon? maybe they have tagged the wrong spring or something, do my rear struts look standard? like are all the rear springs tapered at the bottem like that.

I heard though the late model tems had different struts though, because later model soarer struts had pig tails at the bottem on the rear like mine, i have seen pics of other soarers and the springs don't taper down like mine. hhmmm

be wary of the pedders springs, mate had them in his magna, within 3 months they had sagged an extra 2 inches HAHA.
Also your struts look to be leaking mate, might be worthwhile getting a good 2nd hand set as yours look cactus, how hard is it to push down on the shaft? And do they rebound?

They do, i would say they are the originally tems items, does it throw an error code or something if i just disconnect them and put in some aftermarket non tems ones?
