Hey guys just wondering if anybody has KSport coilovers fitted to their Soarer? I've been quoted 2grand for supply, fit, setup and alignment and although they look the part, there's not a lot of info on them for the Soarer.
Guys in the states on ClubLexus forums seem to be happy with them.. but most of those guys run 22" rims tucked up in the guards haha gay
Anyways, opinions would be greatly appreciated cheers!

Couldn't get a hold of HSD coilovers so I put a set of KSports on order, just came into the shop today and getting fitted next Thursday.
The KSport coilovers are monotubes aswell and a lot of people seem to have had good experiences with them - comparing them to Tein Super streets, although there are some bad reviews also.
All I know it will be great not hitting the bump stops when driving over railway crossings haha!

Ksport, D2, G4 etc are poor coil overs from my experience. I've dealt with them in shop, installed them and had them on the track. Their springs are awful On a Chaser after 18 months the spring had compressed by 40mm from cyclic wear. Proper springs are made out of heat treated spring steel, and should never, ever, compress in normal use by that amount. In addition, the car was setup with 160mm length springs (very bad) compared to the standard 180mm springs found on most afermarket coilovers. You want thick coils for the rate sutied to your car, as well as the longest spring possible for your ride hight to improve the travel without compromising stiffness.
I sell D-Project Fully Adjustable Soarer Coil Overs for around $1399 Delivered and can also get you HSDs. I have been testing the prototype D-Project coil overs in my car (I distribute/own the brand as well do most of the development and R&D) for the 6 months and they are great!. Pretty much on par with HSD's top end range. I've tested D2/Ksport etc from the supplier in Taiwan. The springs sag, lock rings seize and they are generally of low build quality with crap damping. BC are emerging in the market, but I have not had a chance to test them yet.
Trust me, take them back and get a set of HSD or D-Project (if from me - need about 2 weeks delivery time atm as we are just going live with them). You are spending 2k on a huge mod with Ksports that will determine the car's ability to handle and perform in all situations. I've seen the factory in Taiwan and I've met the owners etc. Its all the same sh.it re-branded. They will tell you otherwise, but I know the truth as I've been going to Taiwan every year for the last 5 years!
Please consider my advice and buy someething of decent quality. You do not have to buy from me, or buy my stuff, but I can strongly advise you against all D2/Ksport/G4 rebranded gear from my own experiences in the import scene.

I have a Celsior with D2s fitted, (a very pretty purple they are), a hard and heavy ride, went to K-sport and purchased some softer rated coils, a good cheap improvement for now. I hope they last. But I too had the issue of the locking rings seizing and the cartridge seizing inside the tube! So what started a gentle exercise, ended up with bent C spanners, destroyed locking rings, and stilsens to "help" me gently undo 2 seized cartridges. But hey My Car Came With Coilovers

D, G4 2 and Ksport come from the same factory, I have seen enough evidence on the net to prove they are exactly the same just a different colour and sticker.
