Just wondering if the V8's have 2x compressors for the airbags? Because sometimes i get a rumbling noise coming from the front and can feel it through the steering as well.. happens intermittantly and it sounds like the compressor.. but sometimes it works without the rumble.

It's been doing it for a while, and the brake accumulator has been changed recently. oh.. and it's usually when you come to a stop at lights etc, which is usually when the airbags get their topup..

Or when the brake pedal is pushed = accumulator pump motor. Regardless of whether you replaced the accumulator, the pump still has a job to do, replacing the pressure used when you used the brakes.
Open bonnet, open window, engine idling, press the brake pedal a few times - does the noise happen?
