Hi All,

I have just bought some Volk C-Ultra Rims 5x114.3 stud pattern, tried to fit them on my Soarer and they don't fit?????
The studs just don't seem to line up. Could the Rays engineering label be marked incorrectly? Or is there a knack for putting them on?
I have never heard of this happening before but any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Sounds like you might have 5x 120 wheels or something like that. (you could see if they fit on a commodore...)

There is no knack to fitting wheels, they either go on or they dont. The label must be wrong, or your car has had some sort of wacky stud conversion.

It still has the stock soarer rims so I don't think it has a different stud pattern :-(
Man I don't know how people could have the heart to sell you something if they know it's wrong, this guy said they came off his skyline with a 5x114.3 stud pattern (and the label says just that) I couldn't do the same to someone else, that's just wrong. I might have to take one to a tyre place and ask him to tell me the exact stud measurement before I can sell them and start again.
Thank you so much for your help guys.

I just found this
http://www.westerntowing.co.uk/acatalog/PCD_Calculation.html
I thought it might be useful to someone, from my measurement it looks like these are 5x100 PCD.
I am absolutely gutted, I really liked these rims, I don't think I am going to be able to sell them to anyone round my area :-(

5 on a hundred- sell them to a subaru owner. I'm pretty sure some of the early WRX were 5x100.

Could be wrong, never owned one.

did you buy them off boost cruising? and from qld?
if so i was the owner of them for a week but told the seller they have been changed to 5x 100 and they do not fit a soarer.
thats shocking he sold them on like that and he said the tyres were legal but there were 2 on there that were no where near it

matt
found the link but was changed after i bought them

Yeah dude that was them I think, It was on Ebay and I arranged my own freight, He assured me it was 5x114.3, And yes he said the tyres were good and they were no way near legal tyres. The insides were bald on two of them, They were from Qld.
I am devastated hey I have to borrow money now to replace the tyres on my stock rims, till i can afford to buy another set of rims.
I feel bad even trying to sell them on i couldn't do it to anyone unless i know for sure the stud pattern and offset.
I can't waste more money freighting them back at the risk he won't return my money.

Reading that thread has just made me feel worse :-(
If it's the same guy he told me good tyres and 5x114.3 and sold them to me for 800!
Did you know the blokes name? I am really hoping it's not the same guy.
He hasn't replied to my message on eBay yet I'll give him a few days.
I feel like an idiot hey

Yeah good idea, If I don't get a reply from him soon I'm contacting paypal.
This guys name was Marian, He seemed like a nice guy, he was Slovenian I think and was competing in some drift event over there at the moment.
Hmmm it still seems ridiculously coincidental. How many sets of these rims could be marked one PCD when there actually another.
Well on good news my lovely fiancée is letting me dip into our Japanese honeymoon fund to buy a set of rims and tyres from beaurepaires I like so atleast I will have the correct offset and PCD and a professional fitment :-)
Thank you everyone for your input, I have been a bit shy to start posting on here but since I bought my soarer I have been on here every day reading up on these amazing cars! I'll start being more talkative!

Sorry to hear you had been duped by this individual Richard, but do try and get a refund through Paypal if you can cause they are pretty good at getting money back for things like this. I have been scammed on ebay in the past and within a week my money was refunded via Paypal.
Also welcome to Soarer Central Richard, good to see more new W.A. members joining up!
