Tom,Peter,
I have a knock in the front Right hand corner and have been through the process of "finding the damm culprit" First I thought it sounded like wheel bearings so replaced them...what a bugger to get out...still the knock was there.Next was change the upper control arm bushes....knock still there..Lower control arm bushes next (put the toy into a work-shop to get them done)(thank you Peter T for the warnings about tightening them up after the car weight was on wheels)..knock still there...Steering rack bushes and rack support...knock still there...sway bar bushes...still knocking...sway bar links....still knocking....The only bush that hasn't been done is the strut to lower control arm...After speaking to Peter T it looks like they are hard to get "anywhere"..so was after any input as to changing them rather then the entire strut (which isn't leaking and performs Extremely well)

bore out the bottom mount and have them sleeved with a brass or bronze bush that has about 0.2mm clearance on the bolt an no more knock.

p.s. you may also be able to use a hard wearing shock resistant plastic

cheers matt
