So my mechanic told me he had an Aristo Diff put in when I had busted my diff.

He also told me he had some trouble with a particular bolt that was different on the Aristo diff.

Could there be any drawbacks to installing the Aristo diff?

Are the ratios different than that of the Soarer TT open diff?

Thanks, but no thanks.

That link just told me TT Aristos and TT Soarers came with LSD as standard.

Fail.

really? it told me that the aristo has a 3.7 diff, and the soarer has a 4.1. The term fail shouldn't be used in association with scott.

Just to answer Camrons original question, the stub axles on some later-model diffs in Aristos and Supras used different sized driveshaft bolts - this is probably what the mechanic was talking about

All that needs to be done is knock out these stub axles and replace them with ones from a soarer diff which has the correct size bolt holes for the driveshaft bolts.
