After driving my tt for a while i get a creaking sound when turning the steering wheel but also when going over bumps.It never does it from cold.

Any ideas on this one would be appreciated.

is the steering heavy, and does not self centre after turning a corner?

check the LCA ball joints and bushs (upper as well)

Sounds like Poly bushes are installed and due for a clean and grease.
