Hi there fellow soarer people, have just picked up a pair of these tires for $80 with 70% tread.265,40,17
My question is has anyone used these tires and are they any good?
Im wanting to put these on the front to improve front end grip but i have read that these are a semi slick and could be dangerous. living in tassie we dont get a lot of road heat this time of the year so i wanted to get some thoughts before putting them on.

They're going be much much better than anything else you'll get for that price.
They will aquaplane much easier than a winter type tyre, so be really careful in the wet.
I have no experience with this specific tyre, but run similar summer preformance tyres on my car and they're awesome in the dry. Wet is fine as well, so long as you drive to the conditions.

cool!A friend got them passed onto him with a 33 gtr he purchased. He was going to let them go for $50 the pair, but me being the person that i am offered to pay $80 as i know what there worth.
Will pop them on in the morning and leave some feed back if people are interested. They should be a good tire for spirited mountain passes. The side walls i know on these things are solid.

My fronts are down to 2.5mm, so next month some new ones will be going on. I think I'll stick with Toyo P4's though as they have been absolutely fantastic. Of course they are more of an all-year tyre.
