3 hours and the 4 control arms are off the car. A rattle gun and the Pitman arm puller makes it easy. Anyone purchased the rubber boots for the struts lately? or an equivalent that will fit? I will try Toyota on Tuesday the rotors still measure 31.5 mm so should be machineable, just need to find some pads at a reasonable price.

I need to replace all my bushes as well all wheels are stuffed. Can you let me know how many of what to order so I can replace mine too? My car is garaged now and can not be driven. Too unstable. Please p email me on what exactly to buy. Thanks guys you are a inspiration for me.
Depends on your budget Polyurethane is cheaper but may not give as good a ride as rubber. The link for rears in Polyurethane Fronts bushes in good rubber are about $500, rears would be dearer because their are 14 bushes

interesting someone has just bushed one arm... might of had one arm replaced at some stage due to damage or a worn ball jont... would of made handling "interesting" to say the least!

Anyone had experience with the Prothane Swaybar bushes?
I attempted the install this weekend and found the fronts to be straightforward and a proper fit (30mm). However, the rears seemed to big (24mm) compared to the stock rubber ones so I stayed with those out back.
Has anyone had the same issue? From further research, I am thinking the correct rear sway bar size is 22mm, which explains the discrepancy, yet the kit is for SC300/400. Are our rear sway bars 2mm thinner than SC's, or has Prothane made a mistake?
I took the LCA's to a suspension shop where I will have the wheel alignment done and they reckon none of the bushes need replacing, just re-grease the urethane bush and reassemble, strange that some look like original and it has 220K's on the odo. I have a set of Prothane front bushes for sale if anyone is interested.
Old rubber, not worn out will be better than hard urethane bushes, my problem was steering rack bushes which I have replaced with urethane as oil will not cause a problem as there are some leaks.

Oh ok. I bought a set of genuine LCA bushes from that cheap toyota parts uk place. I don't think you can get replacement bushes for your bush for the hydraulic strut though. I don't have anything that fancy on my normal soarer LCA.
Nothing wrong with normal soarers, 32's are just different and probably worth less if something goes wrong its more expensive to fix. There's a 92, UZZ32 on Ebay went for $910.00 but did not reach the reserve, relisted for $3000.00 hope it finds a good home

there's definitely something special about the UZZ32. Conventionally suspended soarers are already beautiful to drive - the active sus and 4ws must add another dimension. If anybody has an active in Syd i'd love to go for a drive someday!
