OK went to a couple of places and I need the following items. Left side hub and knuckle assembly. As speculated earlier by tyre bloke the mounting point for the upper control arm ball joint is bent up meaning it forces the top of the wheel in. And outter tie rod ends. Wondering tie rod ends is it best to go genuine Toyota or doesn't matter?

yeah as long as the car has ABS your sweet, I use genuine toyota for critical parts like brakes and suspension... speak to Paul or Andrew at Preston toyota these guys are good. or if you are not in a hurry amayama....

Nah mine has no abs. Loaded with features you don't need and dry to the bone on safety features. I've never needed abs anyway. So what does that mean? Have to find a uzz31 non abs one? I got a price from castle hill pretty pricey. $150 each tie rod end.

OK guys got a good ending to this full wheel alignment done and the left side camber came into spec. No more chewing out the inside of tyres. Had quite a few joints look over and say it looks OK. One joint said bushes. So after doing those had the same issue I put it on the back burner.
Got upset with it destroying tyres and upon another inspection was told upper control arm ball joint bent. I could see it was different to the right side. Bought a second hand one and changed it. Again same issue. Pretty much narrowed it down then I took it to a few places but didn't give them too many clues to see if they picked it.
It wasn't the upper control arm ball joint but the spot where it bolted to on the hub and knuckle. It was bent up which meant the top of the wheel had to come in to reach the ball joint bolt. Top of the wheel coming in is negative camber. So even with full adjustment it was still in the negative. At stock ride height the adjustment maxed out it may be in spec.
I was told this that its too low and that if I raise it they will be able to get a good alignment. But this just masks the issue (morons). I said well why don't all 4 wheels max out and run negative at this height. That's too much of a difficult question for them. Also one mob told my car doesn't have any camber adjustment!! But they were happy to charge for a wheel alignment.
I would recommend inverse Tyres and centerline suspension. Now I can get a few kms out of my front tyres. Think I ended up paying $30 for a hub and knuckle.

The abs on my chaser ••••• me. It kicks in too soon and increases my stopping distance substantially. But I remember one time very slippery conditions and down hill with a red light in front of me. This was years ago in my celica. Wheels locked up and I had to release and roll before coming back on the brakes and eventually locking up again. Repeated this until I stopped just over intersection line.
That's the only time I wanted abs. Took me ages to stop from 70km/h. Don't know if it would have helped it slipped and lock up so easily on that hill. It was raining and almost frosty.

Driving on a main road one rainy day in the left lane next to parked cars and the right lane ahead was slowing down. Just as I arrived, the turkey at the back of the line just pulled into my lane right where I was going to be in about 0.5 seconds. With nothing else behind him he had no reason not to see me.
No time to do anything except dump on the brakes! ABS kicked in and stopped me quick also allowing me to steer as close to the parked cars as possible just allowing the turkey to not get intercepted.
I thanked Mr T for the ABS that day, though it's the 97 UZZ31 and I read somewhere that the ABS was improved over the earlier version.
Frankly I would never be without it, despite all the artiste's who have the time and presence of mind to gently fondle their brakes to get them to stop without locking up.
