Hi guys,
Driving home tonight and had to overtake some slow ass driver off the lights before the parked cars ahead so of course you floor it, anyway out of nowhere it felt as if I had been hit by a car but later on the diff I believe was like locking up randomly and making a really loud noise as I drove the car, this was on and off. Are these the usual symptoms or a gone diff or does it need and oil change?

Sounds like it is doing what my old diff did. Pretty sure you have very few Kms left in the diff, mine lasted about 500Kms when I noticed the noise until it fully seized and snapped the yoke bit that connects to the drive shaft. Was a good excuse to buy a LSD tho...

Yeah I'm 99% sure it's the diff since I did a quick drive up the street and shifted through the gears and it sounded fine but then when I floored it every so often you'd hear that crunch. Bloody loud haha Anyway probably should invest in something short term to get me going and save for an LSD.

Not hard mate when you've got the right tools.. You need a large Allan key set and a long extension bar to help with undoing the diff mounts out of the cradle.. Other then that should take no more then an hour comfortably ...

10mm and 12mm Allen key bits, big long power bar and I think 17mm and/or 19mm sockets and a trolley jack and someone to let the handbrake on and off for you when you are under the car....
The amount of times I have pulled a Soarer diff out and put one in, I got the whole technique down pat.
