Does anyone know if there's any way to make the air suspension raise or lower quicker than stock? I was watching 'sc's gone wild' on YouTube and absolutely love how the white soarer lowers itself so quickly

Is that frame sped up? Or aftermarket air bag kit?

I don't know, I was kind of hoping it was a simple thing like a bigger compressor but I honestly have no clue how they would have done it

LHD so not a UZZ31 so whatever it has for suspension has nothing to do with what a UZZ31 has

What's the reason a lhd model would be different suspension-wise?

No airbag models in America. All coils. We get the better cars in some ways to them, except the VVTI V8

Oh right, well maybe it is an aftermarket airbag kit then that or hydraulics But surely there's a way to make the stock airbag system pump/drain faster?

Is there any reason you want to do this?? Bar wank factor? And I am not trying to be rude.

Well apart from the wank factor haha I have a high driveway and I like driving around fairly low, so raising the suspension to get into my driveway takes a while

Ha ha, we had to get our driveway remodelled so our daughter could get her Clubsport up without dragging its bum. Best of luck.

It's so hard to remember to switch it up 2 minutes before you arrive at the driveway?

Planing to add a small tank in mine (capped length of 120mm pvc thick wall pipe) and run 6mm lines to each strut with a one way valves and a solenoid. Then tee the factory connection back in, should allow for a "fast up" button for getting over speed humps and stuff then it will slowly settle back down to stock hight via the factory valves.

I would be looking at something stronger than PVC pipe Go to a truck wrecker and try and get an aluminium air tank. A lot of the Euro trucks use them in various sizes.

Thick wall stuff will be no problem at all.. have a look at the factory "air tank" it's a flimsy plastic ball!

Keep us informed if you manage to get a workable faster travel response please Allan. Mine is lower than standard height, but not ridiculously low, and on a few occasions i have had to stop and wait for suspension to raise when i have come across a large speed hump or en-even surface i didnt want to traverse. I have looked for a "quick fix" (pun intended) without any luck and even looked at after market suspension, but the cost is stupid.

Dropping it down fast would be quite easy with a couple of air solenoids (have you ever pulled off a air line),its immediate, but going up fast would be a lot harder , our Merc has "airmatic" it consists of a big compressor and two large air tanks and its only a bit faster than the UZZ31.But a larger tank would be the first step.

Yeah i have, pulled the wrong line when changing a dead shock. There must be a compressor that could replace the original that has a bit more oomph, but fitting into the same space could be an issue (I have intercooler pipes running through there also now)... Just be a matter of some larger lines after that... Sounds so simple lol

I will probably start on this when I part the airbags off the factory struts and put them on some JZA80 koni's in the next few weeks!

yep, best compromise I can come up with for a street driven car that will see the track, bit of machine work but should be do-able
