I have installed a full set of tein ha coilovers on my car a few days ago. I dint have time to do all four at once so i installed the front two a week before and the remaining rear two, this past weekend. When i installed the front ones there was no problem and everything seem normal. when i installed the rear ones my steering wheel is now turned a little bit, so its not sitting in the centre when driving straight. and i can hear a noise coming from the rear shocks that sounds like they are loose or something, but i have checked and they are solid. Anyone have an idea what this noise could be? as for the steering wheel, it might just need a wheel balance.

see if you can give the nuts a fraction of a turn more. i know you think there solid, but i've had this problem and it just required me to tighten the shocks up a little bit more about half a turn

If you have solid tops on the coliovers itl make it very noisey in the rear, I changed the rear tops to the factory ones to quieten it down abit, but there will always be noise from Teins its just how they are, Ive left the front tops solid but may change it later on. your always going to need to re align everything when you change a suspension part.

So do i need to tighten the single nut at the top in the middle? i can still turn it but wont tighten more cause it makes the whole thing turn with it. I think its also a bit weird how the steering wheel changed when i changed the rear ones and didnt change at all when i changed the front ones, i would have thought the front ones would have affected it more.
Luke the lowells super low springs are for sale but someone from Perth that i cant get in contact with has requested them a couple of months ago. If he doesnt want them ill post them up in the for sale section. Also all the stock suspension is for sale.

the steering wheel change is from when the car is incorrectyl lowered from the hoist. Happened to one of my cars, i had to take the steering wheel off and re allign it. dont know if this is the correct procedure but it worked.

Avin i was thinking it could be something like that, i used a jack to raise and lower it but has never happened . is there a way to correct it without taking off the wheel and putting it back on?

I am not sure but when you lowered it is it possible the wheels were not pointing straight? if they were turned one way while lowering, possibly jack it up, and turn them the other way and lower again? just guessing. it think its the weight of hte car pushing against the sterring when the wheel hits the ground that pushes it off centre. taking steering wheel of will be the easiest way to get it spot on

Luis, wheel balancing has to do with putting weights on the wheels to stop them bouncing at speed. A wheel alignment has to do with pointing them in the right direction etc, both relative to the road and in your case, relative to the steering wheel position.
Get a full four wheel alignment done and ask them to check the noise out also.
