Been doing some research into permitted wheeltrack limits for a Soarer, and found the below link specifying the following:

http://www.carinf.com/en/24b0410413.html

Front: 1521mm
Rear: 1521mm

http://www.soarerworld.com/soarer/soarermk3_specs.htm

Front: 1520mm
Rear 1520mm

From the DEPARTMENT FOR TRANSPORT, ENERGY & INFRASTRUCTURE pdf it states the below:

Soarer Jan 91:
F 1591mm
R 1581mm

From what I have been reading, the only thing that really changes the wheeltrack of a car is the offset of rims fitted.

I have the following sizes fitted:

Front: 18*8.5 +30
Rear: 18*9.5 +38

Wheeltrack is measured from the centreline of the rim on one side of the car to the centreline of the rim on the other side and my tyres have a line painted down the centre of each tyre showing where the centreline is. I have measured the distance between the centreline of both rims and have the following distances:

Rear: 1520mm
Front: 1530mm

If I am not mistaken current RTA laws state that you can have +-25mm from the factory wheeltrack specs and still be legal...my setup seems to fit within these permitted specs of the wheeltrack taking the factory settings to be 1521mm/1520mm...but what is the other measurement of 1591mm/1581mm referring to?

Perhaps the 1521/1520mm specs are the standard default and the 1591/1581mm are the maximum wheeltrack specs?

Is anyone else with a stock soarer and rims able to measure what the factory centreline is for +50 offset rims, this may help everyone get an exact understanding of what the factory wheeltrack is.

Cheers,

Sorry noticed a typo above, front rims are +30 not +35... Amended original post and all other measurements are correct.
