I have developed a clunk in the front end on lock when I come down our drive over the gutter onto the road. I can't get any movement when I jack it up and try to find any freeplay but moving the wheel any way.
The engine mounts have been done a couple of years ago. The lower control arm bushes were done by me about 50,000 ago using Vlamos rubber bushes. The steering rack bushes have been replaced at the same time.
Shocks were done about 40,000 klms ago when I put the Gixer drew set up in.
I wondered if it was the sway bar bushes, as one was torn, so puts some new second hand ones in that did not seem to pinch the bar at all, just surrounded it, and the problem seemed to get worse. Would this be my problem??

take one sway bar end off, to effectively reduce the tension on the bar. drive out your driveway again. If the CLUNK has gone, then it is likely you have isolated the problem.
