I remember reading in the for-sale section someone was selling a car for their dads golf buddy. Their dad ended up buying it or something. It had shocks that would sag over night and the guy who posted it said he fixed them by replacing some bits. The post has now disapeared. Does anyone have any idea what it was?
My front passanger side keeps saging when I turn the car off (sometimes it doesn't). I can hear air escaping somewhere inside the engine bay though, I put my ear to the top of the shock tower and can't hear anything so I'm thinking it might be a tube? Could this be right? Could I be lucky? heh
Last night though it went down and wouldn't come back up at all, I used to be able to lift the guard off the wheel a few CM when it was down after being off over night but now it seems stuck down on it as I can't lift the guard at all.. Would this suggest it's screwed?

How many Kms has your UZZ31 done now Charlie? From looking at past posts it had 125,000kms when you bought it In October/November.
However when you really think about it should 125-135,000kms soarers have leaking air struts? My guess is that the Kms are wound back. I would expect this kind of problem from more like a lot higher Kms than around what yours is at. Just seems strange.
Im actually looking to buy a uzz31 like yours it has 180,000kms on it which seem 100% genuine as it looks dam tidy and has been owned by the same guy for 6.5 years... but will see how good it is when I view in the next day or two. However According to the owner the airbags etc are fine and never leaked. Perhaps these problems can be related to good and poor maintenance on the airstrips in the past?

Yes time is also a factor. Regarding the soarer I may buy (probably will) it had repaired air suspension so it has no chance of leaking for a long time. New lease of life at 180,000kms!
