There is a page on ALSC which has various settings for camber and toe for soarers.

They are different to the toyota factory settings with less toe in front and rear and more rear camber.

Has anyone tried the both settings with a TT with TEMS, what was the difference.

Has anyone tried anything other than the factory settings.

The page claims that they tried many different settings and the came up with there results as best. They are different for each car indicating that quite extensive tunning for each particular car was involved.

My settings are now a little different from factory (air V8) and still undergoing adjustment of tyre pressure balance. 2.6 bar all round is too low at the front (need 2.8 or so) and too high at the rear (need about 2.2-2.3). An anti-roll bar at the front might also help. The settings themselves are on a bit of paper somewhere around here.... Ian Moon of Revell Steering devised the settings starting from a factory base, with commentary added by Neil and I as we observed the wear patterns and I considered how it felt on the road.

I just had an alignment done using Iain Wiltshires settings. Cant comment on possible wear patterns as yet , but the car feels much more stable .

I'm running 40 psi on standard 16 in wheels. I also have 1.5 deg neg camber all round. and about 1deg more caster on the front(than factory)

the rest is pretty much standard. though I think the monkeys at seymour pedders are not fit to work on crappy old datto's, let alone MY soarer.

It seems to work OK for my driving style.

Stock specs for my UZZ31:
Camber 0 front, -1 deg 10 min' rear
Toe-in 1mm front 4mm rear
Caster 3 deg

Current settings:
Camber -0.35 deg front, -1 deg rear (slightly more front, a shade less rear)
Toe-in 0.9mm front 2.2mm rear (same front, less rear)
Caster 2.8 deg (about the same).

After allowing for tolerances and minor variations, the changes compared with factory amount to a bit of negative camber added at front and some rear toe taken out.

I am getting rounded shoulders both inside and outside at the front and centre tread wear at the rear, hence the tyre pressure changes and comment about a roll bar. Other than that, the wear symmetry seems fine and the car handles well (for an air-bag V8 I hasten to add, before somebody else does).

Tyres are 225/55 Goodyear F1 G3-DS (or GS-D3 or something) on stock 16" TT rims, hence stock offset. Vlamos bushes and air struts only a year old. Driving conditions highway cruising and plenty of Canberra roundabouts, all done a shade too fast.

A set of whiteline swaybars will sharpen it up. Great combo with the airbags.
