Hey guys,,, read some good thread regarding this problem. Still need some help.
when i got my jzz31 last month, i swap the 18" wheel from my uzz31. now i have 2 problems 1) strong vibration in steering and 2) vibration on the padel.
I have done four wheel alignmnet and balancing last week. no luck! I was convinced from other thread that it is hubring issues. Today bob jane agreed cuz there is no ring in the wheel. but they can not match the size of the ring for the wheels. where can i custom made the ring in appropriate size or is there any other reasonable solution. cheers

Either that or any engineering shop or a buddy with a lathe could make you up something if you give them the measurements. Probably cheeper to ring around though.

Eddie..Yeah about that i think, they are made from Polycarbonate, and mine did crack ,but after five track days,(due to heat) cant see them breaking up on the road though, and there cheap to replace, people replace tyres, wheels, turbos! so whats $20! bugger all.

I got a set from JAX, don't know if you've got JAX in SA though.
All the plastic ones (or polycarbonate) will eventually crack and disintegrate. It's happened to me twice on different cars, the last time on the Soarer.

went to Beauropairs, they took my wheel detail and have ordered some for me. what about the vibration on acceleration padel? will it be for the wheel? or is there anything else. It is pretty strong at 0-60 km.

Peter, i have already swapped wheels front/back, no luck at all. Still strong vibration from padel area thru steering to gear (shifft) stick, noticebly between 0-60 km.
Justin, i appreciate that. where do u want me to come, mate? Cheers

Had vibration in my Uzz31 5 years ago. Turned out I had a bent stub axle. If your tyre supplier cant supply you with a 20 cent polycarb hub ring, time to change suppliers(was running 17x8F, 17x9R). But I'm going back to original 15' tyres today for smoother ride. Hehe, I'm getting old.
