Hi everyone,

My 91 soarer has a faulty solenoid, it does not drop into first anymore and the ECT error message pops up, along with a flasing O/D OFF.

Anyone know where I can get a solenoid?
Is it a big job to replace them?

Thanks everyone!

Please, if anyone knows where I can get one it would be great if you can reply. Also, has anyone done it before, is it a major job to do?

Please email me, or reply if you can help.

Thanks to all.

Try MV automatics.

You'll have to take the valve body off to do the work so you may as just get a shift kit.

Don't need to remove the valve body. But while you are at it, you might as well fit a shift kit ;) I made up a complete guide on fitting a shift kit on the cressida forums.

300 wft, a another box is going to be 80 to 100. I think you could get a solenoid for free or 20 bucks at most.

Fitting isn't too hard probably take an hrs work.

Did that price include a full trany service as well.

What exactly does this mean? When I did the blue dash I noticed that I was missing a lot of bulbs, so I replaced them, now I get a flashing O/D off light !?!

I've had the battery disconnected numerous times sinse this began for various reasons, so there can't be a stored code, something current perhaps? I am getting brake light warnings as I have no centre lamp assembly atm, any relation?
