in japan looking at a soarer v8 to buy, started it up sounded so nice, giving the motor a little rev not too much as the salesman standing there ,i wanted on full song,and i could hear a funny nosie, played with the thottle to find its best state, coming up to 2,000 rpm and over disappering but more frequent sort of balancing itself out as revs got higher ,still didnt sound good at higher revs, it was a thuding nosie, and i could feel it thou the car, and more so passenger side on the tunnel area, thinking ok its the exhaust,no worries, pondering and listening more it was also a rotating noise with the motor, i thought wot the f, the car sales man assured me that because it was a cold night and the car had not been started for long time it would be ok! whatever, i even thought some dumbo bolted the flex plate / touque converter wrong, had me buffeled, the motor reved good i think its trans related?
now i have goodunderstanding with these motors having transplanted one with the auto, wiring a different computer for the auto and moddifying it and supercharging her as i was fitting it into a mk2 supra, and of all the 1uzfes i have listened to, i have never heard a nosie like that, i prob will not buy this car, but for peace of mind, i hope you guys can answer my problem ps i still want a v8 soarer
