Hello All,

I could pull off the hose but being where I am, I don't want to create a mess and want to do it simply and quickly.

Which way does the transmission fluid flow? From the top hardline to the bottom or is it the other way? This is so I can fit a transmission cooler to the car. I know it's been asked but not specific answer has been given.

Cheers.

It shouldn't matter much as the radiator cools top to bottom. The bottom tank should be the same temperature left to right.

yeah you would want the trans cooler positioned after the radiator, so knowind the flow direction would be helpful

If you trace the pipes back to the gearbox you'll be able to see which is flow in and which is back to the sump. The hot oil will come out near the torque converter.

Ok. So let me get this right... It gets pumped out of the torque converter through the radiator then dumped back in to the sump of the box. if that is the case, I should be able and so should others be able to figure it all out...

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

Cheers.

If you search for transmission flush you will find the answers you're both looking for.

More info to be found on Planet Soarer.

I'm afraid that I already searched those that are listed and unable to find it hence why I posted here. If you are able to find that post "specifically" telling you which way the transmission fluid flows then I will retract this post.

Until then that post you stated doesn't really help.

I would say that is one less person likely to try and help in future.

Why not just test to see which pipe is cooler?

Or read this for confirmation. (I found it with search).
