Has anyone out there seen or heard of anyone running the suprastick transmission computer on a V8 soarer? word through the grapevine is that it causes certain dramas with the slightly different setup of the V8 tranny but i can't seem to find any solid information! Any information would be greatly appreciated as i am really wanting to go ahead but then i dont want to sink large sums of money into a waste of time!

I'm not too sure man, perhaps ask someone on www.lextreme.com as it's a US based club and SupraStick is American too, chances are someone has tried it.

so long as it has the line pressure cable fitted to the trans (some american boxes don't have it) the supra stick will work that is straight from the manufacturer of the supra stick my own car will have one eventually

hrmmm, sounds good, im fairly certain my jap import isn't gonna have an american gearbox, how can I check I have this line pressure cable just to be 100%?

As Lew said, as far as I know the Suprastick would work on any 'box with two solenoids for the gearchange, and a third for the torque converter lockup, BUT......
I think Denys Hobbs had a problem when he tried the Suprastick on his Aristo, so it would be worth checking with him in case the UZZ 'box is like the JZS147 'box.

ill do it over the next couple of weeks, just to make sure nothing goes wrong, and to give me some time to type it up.
tuning is easy, its a very simple process, you really dont have to do much though... mine came with two maps that really only needed fine tuning to my taste
and yes it is setup for full auto with a switch to manual, i am using the cruise control stalk as my shifter, its very sensitive and takes some getting used to but its brilliant once you get it sorted.
