i realised today my kickdown cable was very loose, where do i set it to in regards to line pressure, do i crank it up so i can only just get full throttle still

Depends if you like hard shifts or lots of stall. Just keep playing with it until you find a good compromise between the 2.

when it was loose i could see 3500rpm easily with my 2800rpm stallie with {now i have realised} sloppy shifts, now i can see 3500rpm easily as well but with hard shifts

so is there any reason for me to back it off

I have Mine wound almost all the way Tight, and i have seen 3200rpm on my standard convertor with soild shifts:-)

is there any one here with a standard stall convertor who can get higher than 2200-2400rpm stall before the back tyres break traction-apart from Daniel,who gets an amazing 3200rpm.??? Anyone??I think your car is a freak daniel, but i wanted to ask everyone else, just to see if it is or not.
