I have searched everywhere on this site and I have found out pretty much everything I will ever want to know about automatic transmissions however I cant find out what part number or description the filter is on the V8 gearbox. Also after having flushed it how many liters should it be filled with?

It's a mesh filter that only needs a good cleaning. You flush the gearbox with tranny fluid. If it has never been done before you will probably need 12 litres. If you just drain the pan, it only takes a couple of litres.

IF, however you find (like Smiffie) that it's full of weired grungy crap, that's almost impossible to remove completely, then I suggest purchasing a new one.
Part No: 35330-50010 STRAINER ASSY,VALVE BODY OIL, UZZ3#, 5/1991 - 9/1997.
The identical part number is used for JZZ31 models from 9/1997 - 12/2000.
TT's however use a totally different shaped filter/strainer.
Part No: 35330-30011 5/1991 - 8/1996 JZZ30
VVTi Single Turbo models use a different one again.
Part No: 35330-30020 8/1996 - 12/2000
Note: The V8 filter/strainer is a bare unit, & requires no gaskets. The TT & VVTi units require 2 x gaskets, which are included with the above part numbers. These gaskets ARE available as seperate items should the need arise.
