Any one here replaced the rear seal on there v8 gearbox?

What's involved and can it be done without removing the gearbox?

I had it done, and the gearbox has to be removed, or more correctly, it has to be separated from the engine and removing the engine would be more of a chore.

Rear gearbox seal, not engine seal. All the vehicles I have owned you could replace rear transmission seal with the box in the car.

The rear seal is $26 from MV Automatics and installation time is 1 hour.

$130 supplied and fitted here in Brisbane.
