I did a search and couldn't find anything helpful.
Can a MKIV supra auto be put into a JZZ30 soarer?
I know the gearboxes are different but want to know if anyone's done this successfully? Reason being that the supra auto can handle a lot more than the soarer one.

the splines at the front of the box are different lengths, you have to modify the driveshaft, because the 1jz box has a spline output shaft, the 2jz has a 4 bolt flange instead. the real killer is that the 2jz has no kick down cable-the line pressure is controlled by the 2jz ECU,so the swop is unfeasable. it will drive, but will soon burn out all the clutches. sad ?yes they do handle plenty more power, yet arent much different internally from the soarer.

Would be possible to put the late JZA80 tiptronic auto into the soarer? That would be HORN :-)

What if you used a supra stick to control the auto? Would that be possible?

While trying to figure out how to wire something into the Supra I noticed that they have a separate computer for the auto. Is this all you need (and the loom) to get a Supra auto working in a Soarer?

its actually not true that the supra box can handle more power.

we put 2j plantary gears in my 1j A340 and i smashed them to bits.

upon testing mike from MV has found that the planetary gears form the 1j box arre far stronger than the 2j ones.

the 2j box has a longer first gear ratio but other than that they are same.

I've been running just a tad over 300rwkw for a few months now on a stock standard soarer A340e and no problems whatsoever. Ive also increased the pressure in the kickdown cable, backed with a few 1/4 mile runs and some spirited driving here and there.

However, I do have a trans cooler
