I have just bought 12 litres of Toyota type 4 trans fluid and want to give it a full flush for peace of mind. Is this enough? Thanks

It should be. Just don't let the trans run dry.
Its probably best to run 1 litre out, turn it off and put 1 litre in, and keep going till the fluid is coming out clean or you run out, in which case it will be pretty clean anyway.

Where did you buy the 12L from?

Do you have to get it from Toyota or can you buy it from repco for instance? and how much did 12L cost?

Taking a 1L out at a time will take you a while. You could add 1.5L extra then start taking out 2.5L at a time. I didn't have any problems when I did mine this way.

I normally drop the oil in the pan (about 2L), fill it back up again, drive the car for a couple of days, repeat.

Do that until I've gone through the whole 12L.

I'm sure Niall will do it if you ask him to. He knows Soarers.
