Just go for an Exedy Heavy pressure plate with an Organic clutch plate...

Nice to drive and will hang on no probs with that power!

Thats cause its much easier to replace a heavy duty clutch every 12-24 months and enjoy nice pedal feel. INstead of spending Big Bucks on some super brass clutch that will increase the chances of breaking Axles, diffs, tailshafts!

Every driveline has a weakness. And in my opinion, in a manual car, the clutch should be it! For a daily driver with some track work:-)

Yep this is what i have, and im making 270rwkw.

I did have a Brass Button clutch but i wore it out. I much prefer the Exedy Heavy Duty clutch, so much more comfortable to drive. If it last long enough ill be getting this clutch again.

Its only 3mths old at the moment though.

Has anyone got a photo of the "Exedy Heavy Duty clutch" ? As I've shagged the button clutch in the soarer. P.S. need a cheap W58 if anyone knows of one in Melbourne.

I've replaced my brass button with a Clutch Industries (aka PBR) Heavy Duty Clutch. Not one of the mainstream ones but its been a few months now and it seems to be running good still. Handling 250kW with no problems.

watch out for the clutch industries RPM series... I got one and it was way out of balance out of the box, diddn't find out til i put it in though. So much for their quoted "balanced twice" claim. It vibrated so much I moved sideways while idling... then CI f*%ked me round with the warranty.
The stock toyota clutch is $730, I got a identical exedy stock replacement for $620 which is apparently ok for up to 230kw, but i find it doesn't have much of a bite and is a bit vague. Heavy duty exedy next time.
