gidday

i fitted a b&m pro ratchet shifter the the 1jz and auto in my vl commodore and im running into problems with the shift.

if i pull the shifter back to the first position and the gbox automaticly changes from 1st to 2nd and then will hold second till i change the shifter position.

in my v8 soarer if i shift the shifter to 1st it will rev all the way till i shift it.

has anyone run into the same problem with there gbox or could it be a wring problem in the box or a problem with the box??

i just need some ideas on what could be wrong.

any help would be great.

thats what i thought so i disconnected the shifter cable and manualy moved the selector on the side of the box as far back as it would go.

and still no luck.

when it shifts into second then you get of the accellerator then the box will go back to first and nearly send you through the windscreen.

the box dose have a mv 1.5 shft kit and a 3500 stall in it too if that makes any difference.

i spoke to mike today and found out about the shift box. im going to get it but we need to find out if the gbox is shifting because of hydrulic pressure or if the ecu is wired incorrectly.

mike said that i have to put my test light on the s1 and s2 wires of the auto at the ecu and see if the ecu is working correctly.

i need to find these wires at the ecu. dose any one know where to start looking??

the b&m is in a vl not a soarer i have the 1jz in the vl.

Have a look on Toymods in the wiring diagrams section, I posted up a few Soarer ECU pinouts there.

i finaly checked the ecu and its doing every thing perfictly.

mike reckons that it may be a wiring issue through the neutral start switch.
